The Salt Lake Valley Region (SLVR) of the Utah Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS) is looking to hire a GRAMA Specialist. GRAMA stands for Government Records Access and Management Act.

This position is open to remote work/teleworking options. The State of Utah requires all employees to physically work inside the State of Utah Boundaries.

Pay starts at $16.19.

Employee serves as a resource to the professional child welfare social work staff by receiving and processing numerous, simultaneous requests for public records through the state-wide Utah GRAMA. Coordinates and assists DCFS staff and management with responses to GRAMA requests, court orders, and subpoenas. Responsible for tracking time critical deadlines and responding within the allotted time. Archive and scan documents. Input data on computerized systems and maintain case files. The employee may prioritize inquiries and complaints for proper routing and receive/research/respond to incoming questions or complaints. May assist professional staff or others in explaining, implementing and following policies and procedures. May also provide administrative support to the Regional Director and the Regional Administrative Team.

Principal Duties
As a GRAMA Specialist you will:

  • Provides administrative support.
  • Receives and processes simultaneous requests for public records through the state-wide Utah GRAMA.
  • Enter data into a computer system and retrieve, correct, or delete previously entered data.
  • Carefully read entire case files detailing abuse and neglect and determine release of information based on certain criteria.

    The model candidate for this position is someone who:
  • Is knowledgeable working with Google Docs
  • Has worked with the State's social welfare database system, SAFE
  • Has experience with the Utah GRAMA.
Preference
Preference may be given to applicants with previous GRAMA experience and/or experience using Google Docs and/or the State's social welfare database system SAFE and/or at least two years clerical experience working in an office where one of your principal duties was to perform office support functions.
