Job Profile Summary
Apply the principles of accounting in order to prepare timely, accurate financial records in compliance with the company's policies and procedures and related internal controls.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for coordinating the team responsibilities for recording and processing all non-AP and payroll cash journal entries, including Treasury departments cash accounting requirements, in a timely manner as required by the monthly close schedule.
- Maintain cash accounts dashboard and review the preliminary bank reconciliations to ensure all material transactions are recorded to reduce reconciling items, post-close. Monitor month-end close checklist and coordinate completion of closing procedures according to the close timelines. Maintain support for bank to GL interface by coordinating with IT and service providers.
- Communicate with field offices and various departments proper accounting for all corporate-level cash and investment transactions as necessary.
- Reconcile and correct inter-company out of balances relating to cash accounting group entries. (Including the manual quarterly ReVal of notes and distributing Cash on Multiple BU instances.)
- Coordinate preparation of schedules, analysis and reports, as requested, and new hire training and other assignments as requested.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls requirements, including performance of and audit support for internal controls, for cash accounting.
Education:
- Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree - Accounting or Finance
Experience:
- Minimum Required: 5+ years in accounting.
- Preferred Level: Accounting and leadership skills with strong experience in cash accounting.
Skills:
- Minimum Required: Proficiency in spreadsheets and word processing. Working knowledge of general ledger accounting with analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Preferred Level: Advanced Excel skills, familiar with ERP system (Oracle experience a plus), and foreign exchange.
Pre-Requisite/Qualification:
- Must successfully complete pre-employment drug screen.
- Must successfully complete pre-employment background check.
Job Type: Full-time
