Get in at the ground level and be part of a significant maintenance services provider to the energy industry. Mader Energy, part of the Mader Group, was formed in November 2021 and has already established a very talented workforce and an impressive client base. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a qualified Senior Accountant to join our team!
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for performing general accounting and related duties efficiently and accurately. They will be an essential part of the team and provide practical and meaningful advice to the operations team!
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Creates, generates, reviews, and distributes relevant monthly financial reports and information schedules.
- Responsible for monthly financial meetings with managers and coordinators.
- Responsible for month-end accounting processes of Mader Energy.
- Responsible for the coordination and preparation of annual federal and state tax returns.
- Responsible for multi-state tax compliance for income, sales, and payroll taxes.
- Assist with annual budget preparation.
- Assist with half-year and annual audit schedule preparation.
- Assist with obtaining and maintaining banking relationships and financing.
- Coordination through subordinate(s) of all tasks related to payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash, fixed assets, and various government returns.
- Responsible for the hiring, training, and retaining of competent accounting staff.
- Assistance in revising, writing, and implementing financial and operational policies and procedures for Mader Energy.
We want to talk to YOU if you have:
- CA or CPA qualifications - desired but NOT required
- University Degree
- 3 – 5 years of commercial experience essential
- Experience establishing processes, procedures, job descriptions, supplier & customer accounts and banking relationships is preferred
- Strong computer skills, with advanced skills in Excel
- The ability to prioritize and work under pressure and to tight deadlines, while ensuring key deliverables are achieved
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact and develop rapport with key internal stakeholders
- High levels of self-discipline, self-motivation; energy, and initiative
