We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our fashion industry team. As a permanent employee, you will be a crucial part of the financial operations of our organization. You will work closely with our accounting team to ensure that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day accounting operations of the organization, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and journal entries
- Perform monthly and year-end closing procedures, including reconciliations and financial statement preparation
- Prepare and analyze financial reports to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and standards
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Work closely with other departments to ensure accurate inventory accounting and cost accounting
- Provide support during audits and ensure that all audit requirements are met
- Manage and mentor junior accounting staff
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- CPA certification preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the apparel, CPG or fashion industry
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and standards
- Experience with Netsuite or similar accounting software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
