We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in the Energy industry. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the general ledger, fixed asset accounting, and month-end close processes. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with GAAP and ASC 842 lease standards. The ideal candidate will have a CPA certification and a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in the Energy industry. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the general ledger, fixed asset accounting, and month-end close processes. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with GAAP and ASC 842 lease standards. The ideal candidate will have a CPA certification and a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial statements
- Prepare journal entries and reconcile accounts on a monthly basis
- Perform fixed asset accounting and maintain accurate records
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and ASC 842 standards
- Assist with the month-end close process and prepare financial reports
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and ASC 842 standards
- Experience with fixed asset accounting and month-end close processes
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
