JOB SUMMARY

The role of the Semi-Trailer Mobile Technician will focus on maintaining our companies and customer’s expectations as well as maintaining equipment up to DOT and federal standards. A Semi-Trailer Mobile Technician will perform preventative and corrective maintenance on semi-trailers when equipment is out of service on roadside. This career opportunity is available for a self-motivated person with strong work ethics.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform repairs and/or scheduled maintenance as needed at our customers location.
• Build, rebuild and repair all parts of trailer equipment.
• Able to work independently. Can diagnose and repair semi-trailers on the roadside.
• Prepares work orders for repairs and works closely with our parts department to insure an efficient repair.
• Promotes cooperation and teamwork.

EXPERIENCE

• 2 years’ experience (welding, mechanic, carpentry, etc.) as a semi-trailer mechanic/technician.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must have a valid driver’s license (CDL not required) and driving record in good standing.

• Consent to a drug screening is required.
• Operate cargo vans, trucks, or larger Step Van vehicles.
• Must have good communication skills and the ability to work well with customers.
• Semi-Trailer and Liftgate Parts Knowledge (Preferred).
• Training in repair of hydraulic lift gates (Preferred).
• Knowledge of trailer air systems and wiring.
• Competency with computers and roadside equipment.
• Must furnish own set of tools.
• Great attention to details and the ability to meet deadlines.
• A commitment to safety and strong customer service skills.
• High School Diploma or and equivalent combination of education is preferred, but not required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $30.00 per hour
