Summary:

Summary

ANG is seeking a well-organized, highly motivated individual to serve as a Security Assistant to the Facility Security Officer (FSO). The Security Assistant, under the direction of the Facility Security Officer for the corporate headquarters, will be assisting with daily implementation and execution of security operations in accordance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and Department of Defense (DoD) regulations.


Essential Functions

  • Administers the security program in accordance with applicable policies and
  • Process personnel clearances through Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS)/Defense Information Systems for Security (DISS)/Electronic Questionnaires for Investigations Processing (e- QIP)
  • Assist in visitor control in compliance with policies and badging
  • Assist in maintaining Security Records
  • Participates with external security audits and internal self-inspections
  • Performs other administrative duties as needed/assigned

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.


Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the
  • Occasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery,
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer
  • Expresses or exchanges ideas by means of the spoken Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly or quickly.
  • Frequently moves standard office equipment up to 25
  • Must be able to work indoor conditions 90% of the time.


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. We offer a hybrid remote work environment, and typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Evening and weekend hours as required by business need.


Travel

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out of the area travel and overnight may be expected.


Experience

  • At least 5 years’ experience in Industrial Security
  • Knowledge of the NISPOM
  • Self-starter requiring minimal supervision


Education

  • High School Diploma


Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Proficient computer/MS Office skills with report/policy writing skills
  • Organizational, problem-solving skills
  • Ability to be detail oriented and flexible with the ability to move from one task to another as priorities change
  • Working knowledge of government security databases associated with industrial security, including JPAS, DISS, and NISS (personnel clearance management, reports, visit requests, )


Security Clearance

Secret Clearance required. Must be able to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance.
