60 hours per two weeks | 12-hour shifts | Monday through Friday 7:00AM to 7:00PM
Job Summary
- Coordinate daily staffing adjustments.
- Enter exception reports in ANSOS.
- Maintain accurate staffing records.
- Call in OR crew.
- Arrange ambulance runs.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Greet and direct visitors to patient rooms, Lab and X-ray.
- Take information, copy and fax information, and call APP/UC on floor for a direct admit.
- Receive payments from patients; from employees for auctions; taking money for flower purchase and notifying the floors for flower deliveries.
- Assist with payroll for all Rice personnel. Enter all exception reports.
Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Post-secondary education desirable.
- Willingness to assume responsibility for completion of required tasks.
- Ability to handle frustrating experiences.
- Ability to deal with people in tactful and courteous manner.
- Understanding of staffing patterns and their construction.
- Knowledge of Nursing Service personnel forms, records, reports.
- Knowledge of payroll procedures.
- Knowledge of acuity classification system, including Epic Bedboard.
- Knowledge of Nursing Department budget.
- Knowledge of computer usage.
- Knowledge of:
a. MNA, LPN, & Local 3296 contracts.
b. Hospital Personnel Policies.
c. Fair Labor Standard Act.
d. Nurse Licensure and Practice Act.
