Job description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with colleagues and utilize various curriculum resources to create objective-based lessons aligned to current NYS learning standards.
- Actively engage students in the delivery of high-quality instruction.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the academic needs of all students.
- Utilize data to inform instructional decisions.
- Establish a supportive classroom environment that provides for the social-emotional learning of all students.
- Grade student work and maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and grades.
- Effectively communicate with parents and students regarding academic progress.
- Attend required meetings and participate in professional development opportunities.
- Provide instruction that reflects the diverse educational, cultural and linguistic backgrounds of the students served.
Job Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must possess or be eligible for New York State Certification in Social Studies
