SEASONAL PARK AIDE(S): Perform park maintenance work for the department.This is position is responsible work assisting Operations Coordinators/Park Rangers in the cleaning and maintenance of the county parks and facilities. Maintenance activities will include light construction, trail repair, landscaping, restoration, and day-to-day park and facility maintenance (mowing, restroom cleanup, special projects). Maintain and care for equipment and hand tools; detect needed repairs and make simple adjustments to equipment. Work will be performed primarily at Kamiak Butte County Park, Klemgard County Park, Wawawai County Park, and the Bill Chipman Palouse Trail. Work will be performed in a variety of settings, requiring the employee to do physical work (lifting over 40 lbs., etc.) and to work in all weather conditions (indoors and outdoors) and operate a wide variety of equipment to accomplish tasks. Special events and work load scheduling may require some weekend and evening work.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND TRAINING: Must be 18 years of age with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Experience in parks or grounds maintenance. First Aid and CPR certification are highly desirable. Successfully pass a background check and immigration status verification.Knowledge of common building construction methods and basic electricity. Safely and properly use hand and power tools. Ability to read and follow directions both verbal and written.

Length of position is dependent on departments need.
