We’re hiring immediately! Cambridge Academy is in Reidsville, NC and is currently seeking a Preschool Cook to bring love to the joy of food for the families that we care for in our center. In our experience, we believe in the early childhood education of our team kind of approach to help foster these children for future growth. Our caring teachers and staff work hard to ensure we develop a whole child approach.

Our center has staff that is talented, fun, and genuinely enthusiastic about child development and learning. We encourage collaboration and cherish open communication with our families. Job Overview

Preschool Cook Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must meet all state preschool cook requirements
• 1 year of experience in food planning, preparation and service following USDA guidelines
• Current Food Handler’s Card or SERV Safe-certified preferred
• Bonus if person has knowledge and experiences with CACFP program

Preschool Cook Job Responsibilities:

• The Preschool Cook will be responsible for minor meal preparation, organizing food and supplies storage areas, dishes, meal distribution to classrooms, and maintaining organization and systems in the kitchen
• Other duties as required, including but not limited to laundry, cleaning of equipment and toys
• Cleaning Duties
• CACFP Paperwork Duties
• This position will require lifting.

Items listed below are required to be completed before the first day of employment.

· Staff Medical

· Negative TB test

· NC Criminal Records Qualification Letter from NC Division of Health and Human Services required (Redone every three years)

· Infant, Child, and Adult CPR First Aid (Required within 60 days of start date and then every two years.)
