The Lower Pioneer Valley Educational Collaborative (LPVEC) has an opening for a School Bus Mechanic to join our team. LPVEC, organized in 1974, is comprised of seven school districts bound in a collaborative governance structure. LPVEC is a public employer offering competitive wages and a comprehensive benefit package including health insurance and state retirement. Job Description: Diagnose, remove and assemble body and chassis components from any vehicle.Clean, inspect, rebuild, and assemble new or original parts. Reinstall components and make necessary adjustments. Plan, schedule, repair and maintain preventative maintenance of LPVEC transportation fleet as needed. Ensure the availability of vehicles in safe operating condition in accordance with state and federal requirements.
CDL License required to move Class B vehicles. Will train if necessary.
