Scope:
This position is responsible for coordinating material and planning activities under the direction of the Planning & Purchasing or Customer Account manager

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
  • Directly communicates with production, quality, engineering colleagues to align on decisions pertaining to planning & scheduling production at cost, cash, ad service standards
  • Verify and confirm materials are present to support production schedule and identify missing materials and risks to completing the published production schedule.
  • Assist in resolving any material issues relating to meeting the production schedule by working with Schedulers to identify priorities. As needed, contact specific supplier to obtain information regarding the expediting or delaying deliveries
  • Communicate to Lab, and internal departments as needed, raw materials, batches, and finished goods that are high priority for testing/release.
  • Research inventory discrepancies as noted by Scheduling and work with Inventory Control and Material Control on resolution.
  • Participate in cycle counting to verify effectiveness of planning & scheduling
  • Represent kdc in S&OP Customer reviews to grow revenue, Prepare RCCP ahead of S&OP reviews.
  • Works with Customer Service on Date Change requests due to material shortages and/or customer priorities
  • Communicates to Customer Service any process order shortages and works with Production Team on shortage disposition and resolution to accurately report OTIF (On Time & In Full)
  • Release process orders and production packet creation and delivery to the Production
  • Clear open order reservations weekly
  • Coordinate Instant materials through receipt and release to allow for timely process order creation
Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma/GED; BA/BS preferred
  • Experience working within scheduling/purchasing department desired.
  • SAP Experienced, desired
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, prioritization and maintain a strong eye for detail
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Good understanding of FDA Good Manufacturing Practices Regulations (GMP’s) and OSHA safety requirements.
  • Self-starter with strong work ethic.
  • RCCP and S&OP work sessions
  • Customer service
  • Strong communication (both written and oral), interpersonal, team building and organizational skills.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and manage time efficiently and effectively.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Able to work overtime & weekends as required.
  • Wear hairnet, safety glasses, long pants, steel toe shoes/boots and any other uniform standards.
  • Read, comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Sit, bend, stoop, climb, and stand for long periods of time in one place.
  • Lift items up to 50lbs
