Raytheon is currently seeking a Field Engineer to work with Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) Satellite Communication (SATCOM) systems. In this role you will primarily perform maintenance and repair, upgrades, site surveys, installations, integration, and acceptance testing of state-of-the-art EHF/AEHF SATCOM systems.

Position Location: Colorado Springs, CO

Travel up to 70% of the time both CONUS and OCONUS

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical assistance as part of a SATCOM helpdesk team.
• Maintain, repair and upgrade EHF / AEHF SATCOM Systems.
• Conduct site surveys, installations, integration, and acceptance testing of EHF/AEHF SATCOM systems.
• Provide technical assistance as part of a SATCOM helpdesk team.
• Focus on and commitment to high quality work.

Experience and Skills:

• Experience in troubleshooting and repair of SATCOM systems.
• Experience on Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) SATCOM systems.
• Ability to read and interpret procedures, work instructions, schematics, diagrams, and assembly instructions.
• Proficient with the use of hand and electronic instruments and electrical/electronic test equipment.
• Experience working in a military environment.
• Experience with MS Office products including Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Excellent written and oral skills.
• Ability to travel, interface closely with the customer, work autonomously or as part of a team, and provide written status to stakeholders.

Desired Experience and Skills:

• Experience in troubleshooting and repair of the Minuteman (MM) Minimum Essential Emergency Communications Network (MEECN) Program (MMP) Upgrade (MMPU), Family of Advanced Beyond Line-of-Sight Terminals (FAB-T), or Global Aircrew Strategic Network Terminal (GASN-T).
• Active duty or reserve military experience is desirable but not required.
• Experience working in the field, independently as a Field Service Engineer or representative a plus.

U.S. Citizenship required, as the applicant must have an Active U.S. DoD Top Secret Security Clearance, day one of employment.

Education:

Typically requires a University Degree in a technical field and a minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience, or an associate degree in a related field and a minimum of 6 years’ experience. Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

The salary range for this role is 62,000 USD - 124,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
