Position Description

This position is based out of the Support Center located in Independence, OH. Organizationally, this team member is part of the ERP team which reports up through IT. The SAP Developer is responsible for technical design, development, and support of the technical solutions in the SAP landscape. The position will provide critical subject matter expertise, technical acumen, and critical thinking to our development team. The technical stack includes SAP ECC 6.0 (FI, RE-FX, HCM, and Payroll), Fiori, and SAP Integration Suite. This is a great opportunity for an experienced SAP developer who would like to expand his or her skills into other modules and technologies.

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide project-based design and development as well as day-to-day support of existing solutions.
• Understand incidents and problems, identify possible technical solutions, implement action plan, and deliver technical components.
• Communicate complex technical details effectively to technical and non-technical team members.
• Generate viable solution alternatives and explain benefits of the preferable option.
• Collaborate with functional team members in IT as well as business analysts in business.
• Participate in brainstorming and whiteboarding sessions with peers, including tasks that are not your own.
• Assist SAP functional team members with debug activities on critical issues.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Bachelors Degree in a related field with 6+ years IT
• Demonstrated understanding of IT functions, processes, and strategies linked to business goals.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Extensive experience in ABAP development, both new development and customizations to existing processes, including use of IDOCs, ALE, RFC, BAPI, BADI, User Exits, BTE, ALV, LSMW, ABAP Workbench, Data Dictionary, Reports (Classic and Interactive Reports), BDC (Batch-Input and Call Transaction Methods), SAP Scripts, Smart forms.
• Experience in Object Oriented Programming and Modern ABAP 7.4 and 7.5 Syntax.
• Experience working with SAP on high priority OSS messages, third party vendors like ADP on payroll issues and various third-party API service providers like Google API etc.
• Experience in ABAP development for Finance (AA, AP, GL, and AR).
• Experience working with business partners to clarify requirements and functional specifications.
• Experience creating and executing technical test plans.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines while treating teammates and partners with respect.
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with all levels of
• (Preferred) Experience in ABAP development for RE-FX modules.
• (Preferred) Experience in ABAP development for HCM (PA, OM, and Payroll).
• (Preferred) Experience in Fiori Application development.
• (Preferred) Experience in SAP Integration Suite.
• (Preferred) SAP certifications.
