As a Sales Operations Senior Specialist, you will focus on research and analytics that help drive business decisions specific to firmwide initiatives. As a member of the Sales and Growth team, you will be responsible for research and analysis projects related to the future growth of the firm, which includes, but is not limited to sales forecasting, sales process/methodology, sales systems and reporting, data analytics and providing recommendations for action to key stakeholders. In addition, you will interpret internal or external issues and develop solutions to ensure business development programs and projects meet the team’s overall objectives. Other responsibilities include staying abreast of changes in the business development environment, partner with marketing and client experience resources to create and communicate intelligence information, and interpret best practices, internal, and external information to create effective solutions.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Utilizes a specialized depth of business development expertise to collaborate as part of project pursuit teams to develop winning approaches.
- Stays abreast of changes in the business development environment and coordinates market research projects.
- Interprets best practices, internal, and external information to create effective solutions.
- Leads the development and implementation of new, firmwide business development programs to support the growth of the firm, ensuring programs and projects meet business development objectives.
- Works collaboratively to drive and execute a robust business development strategy that aligns with the firm’s strategic goals.
- Monitors effectiveness of business development strategy and research programs and develops plans to improve effectiveness.
- Collaborates with technical leaders on client and project pursuit strategies and goals that drive to firmwide targets.
- Partners with marketing and client experience resources to bring in advanced and specialized expertise to create and communicate client intelligence information.
- Prepare presentations, deliver findings, and make strategic recommendations.
- Create strong interpersonal relationships with key stakeholders to better understand their business needs.
- Ability to draw conclusions and see connections between data and business decisions.
- Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format.
- Leverage sufficient understanding of the business and strategy to provide business recommendations to key stakeholders.
- Olsson currently has an opportunity for a Sales Operations Senior Specialist with our Business Development team. We will consider candidates interested in being located near any office within the Olsson footprint. Candidates can live anywhere in the United States and work remotely.

- Excellent communication skills

- Previous experience in business development and client management
- Good interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to develop and foster effective professional relationships internally and externally
- Strong sales, negotiation, data analytics and forecasting skills
- Prior experience maintaining and managing a CRM system
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in a business development role
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Communication, Public Relations, or related field is preferred
