Here we GROW! Take advantage of this exciting opportunity to join our Catalyst Sales team, where you will promote and expand the Syngas Technologies catalysts portfolio within the region. You will focus on maintaining current Syngas Ammonia accounts and help develop strategies to penetrate new market accounts for Clariant. You will also support the continuous development of the sales team in NORAM while being a catalyst for our overall success.



Responsibilities

  • You will ensure achievement of catalyst sales, margins and Must Win Battle goals
  • Responsible for the complete sales process from lead qualification to bid proposal including risk management, contract negotiations, after-sales services and order processing support
  • Maintain business with existing customers by frequent technical, commercial meetings, and account management
  • You will acquire new customers (analyze and understand client's technology in detail, offer appropiate products)
  • Maintain reporting systems - CRM, forecast, installed volume, Miller-Heimann sheets and similar, call reports etc.
  • Serve as role model the Clariant values and align personal business behaviors to the values
  • Develop industry contact through establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies
  • Responsible for establishing and adjusting selling prices to meet minimum margin requirements (Minimum Margin Tool) by monitoring costs, supply and demand, and competition
  • Serve as tandem with ACT, R&D and PM functions to review process design, performance and spent catalysts evaluations; consulting with clients to communicate and resolve troubles
  • Provide on site services, such as start-up assistance and Syngas technical operations training
  • Assist in maintenance of technical design guidelines, operating instructions and reference lists
  • You will support joint projects with licensors and customers
  • Responsible for managing customer complaints amd any other special requests from customers
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of Syngas technology and market opportunities including key stakeholders and associated installed volume
  • Collect and communicate market intelligence & competitor information with other functions, e.g. R&D
  • Participate and represent Clariant in industry relevant events, like conferences and congresses

Requirements

  • BS Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Catalysis (additional Business Management skills or advanced degree is of advantage)
  • Minimum of 3 years Technical Sales (would perfer someone with 5+ years of experience); R&D or catalyst operating experience in Syngas applications or Syngas Licensor Technology preferred.
  • You should have a proven performance record, defined as meeting or exceeding goals and expectations.
  • Related Technical experience within any chemical indurstry (ie: Petrochemicals, Syngas, specialty chemical space etc.)
  • Excellent oral and written presentation skills are a must, including experience presenting to customers and peers across multiple levels.
  • Clariant work experience in technical sales and/or operations would be a huge advantage.
  • Excellent relationship building skills and enjoy service-oriented type of work, high level of MS Office (Excel, Outlook), communicative, good negotiation skills
  • You should have a high motivation to WIN! Should be sales driven, success motivatied having the ability to influence with little to no supervison.
