We are looking to hire a Sales Development Specialist to regionally support our Western Territories.
This is just a high-level overview of the role we need you to fill for us
Working, within your assigned geographical responsibility, you will build a solid network of concrete industry contacts; deliver admixture expertise to customers, prospects, and Master Builders Solutions sales representatives. You will provide analysis and action plans for gaining business, which include providing support for testing and industrial trials, implementing strategies to drive innovation and growth initiatives, and assisting in product and process training. You will maintain customer relationships by improving business at existing accounts, supporting newly attained accounts, and gaining new business at targeted accounts. You will implement and comply with Company initiatives, policies, and procedures.

A Bachelor's Degree is required, experience instead of education will be considered.- A minimum of 15 years of industry experience
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in marketing, key account management, sales, and business development, with a demonstrated history of closing new businesses and driving technology.
- Excellent presentation, communication, computer, financial, and market analysis skills.
- An understanding of the key drivers of the ready-mixed concrete and concrete construction industries.
- Working knowledge of the primary construction project delivery methods, especially Design-Build and CMAR.
- Working knowledge of the design process, ie., Pre-Planning, Planning, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents (including specification development), Bidding and Post-Bidding.
- Working knowledge of industry standards, codes, and practices
- Act with an Entrepreneurial Drive
- Demonstrate Customer Focus
- Communicate Effectively
- Drive Sustainable Solutions, especially as related to concrete for infrastructure, buildings, pavements, and specialty construction projects.
- Industry recognition and awards will be a plus.
Formula for Success:
Identify Architects, Engineers, and Contractors that have a high likelihood of using HPC, LECC, and Master Builders’ value-added concrete portfolio, and develop relationships with those entities
- Identify, build, and manage an opportunity pipeline of projects from targeted design offices and contractors that are attractive to Master Builders’ concrete producer customers
- Collaborate/enable local sales organizations by translating the project opportunity pipeline to actual sales results
- Work with local sales teams to enable them to exceed their annual revenue goals via regular communication, facilitation, qualified project awareness, and the coordinating approach at targeted A/E/Cs and producer customers
- Identify and acquire project plans and specifications from clients and work with marketing to develop suggested language helpful to designers
- Track projects and results via the use of a CRM consistent with Master Builders
- Provide guidance on complex technical, sales, and marketing issues, including "consulting" services to internal and external customers
- Use a complex mix of education, experience, planning, communication, creative thinking, and strategic decision-making, directly contributing to both the short-term and long-term growth of sales revenue, profit, and market share of Master Builders, especially by:
- Identifying opportunities for Growth Initiative products sales
- Identifying opportunities to promote lower-embodied carbon concrete
- Identifying opportunities to promote value-added concrete
- Assisting the sales team to increase sales with existing customers
- Assisting the sales team to acquire unsold customers
- Maintain customer relationships by improving business at assigned existing accounts, supporting newly attained accounts, and gaining new business at targeted accounts
