Join our new store! Kennett Square Ace Hardware will be opening in November 2021! KSAH is proudly owned by the Eisel Family, 17-year residents of the Kennett area. Ace is a retailer-owned, national brand, in business since 1924 and recognized as America’s premier hardware wholesaler.

We are looking for experienced and dynamic sales associates to join our team. Full-time and part-time positions are available. Candidates with retail experience preferred; experience in the home improvement industry a plus!

Responsibilities
Sales associates are responsible for engaging the customer, determining their needs and understanding their requirements. Primary responsibility for all associates at Kennett Square Ace Hardware is to Amaze Every Customer Every Time!

Our Sales Associates will provide the best possible experience for Every Customer Every Time by being helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. They must be cooperative with others and work well on our retail team including participating in daily huddles and sharing ideas for improvement within the team. Sales Associates must greet ALL customers and guest, being sure to make eye contact and smile!

We want KSAH to be a relaxed, comfortable and happy place for our employees and customers!

Primarily, the Sales Associate will:

• Execute the daily operational, day-to-day goals and priorities assigned by store management displaying a “Speed is Life” attitude. Move with a sense of urgency while paying attention to the details.
• Restock merchandise displays as needed, watch end caps and side wings.
• Help unload incoming trucks and put away merchandise (as arranged by management).
• Flexibility is necessary! We will cross-train our associates in all areas of the store (mixing paint, running cash register, cutting keys, repairing screens, and more)
• Maintain your assigned department, keep clean, organized and fully stocked.
• Assist in the training and development of peers.

Qualifications:

• High School or GED equivalent preferred
• Computer expertise
• Previous retail experience a plus
• Ability to communicate professionally
• Passion for detail and willingness to learn
• Bilingual (Spanish) communication skills are helpful

Physical requirements: The minimum physical requirements for this position include:

• Ability to stand for an extended period of time, walk, reach, and bend to perform job duties
• Move and handle merchandise up to 50 pounds, and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting and perform all functions as set forth

Pay: $10.00 to $14.00 per hour
