As a Safety Specialist at Four Seasons Families of Companies, you'll have the opportunity to help maintain a safe work environment, continue to build on our culture and commitment to safety, and help scale our safety initiatives as we continue to expand.

Location: 400 Wabash Rd., Ephrata, PA (Onsite)

Schedule: Sunday- Thursday, 1:00pm - 10:00pm

What you'll get to do as a Safety Specialist

  • Support the Safety Manager with safety-related initiatives across the Four Seasons Produce Family of Companies, with the primary focus on Operations (packing, warehousing, and distribution)
  • Lead by example to maintain a safety culture
  • Develop, document, train and implement safety programs (department and company-wide)
  • Monitor Workers Compensation claims, including injury reporting, claim investigation and communication with insurance carrier/adjusters
  • Assist with incidents and accident investigations, getting to the root cause
  • Assist with on-site facility inspections and make recommendations to eliminate or reduce risks
  • Maintain Safety Programs to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and State regulations
  • Create and distribute safety communications
  • Manage the safety committee to drive safety culture and engagement
  • Monitor safety equipment readiness
  • Track and maintain injury and incident related documentation
  • Develop safety related reports and metrics
  • Additional tasks might be required based on business needs

What you bring

  • 2-3 years of related work experience, preferably in a warehouse environment
  • Experience with promoting safe work environment and reinforcing safety procedures and policies.
  • Proven track record of collaboration and interpersonal effectiveness
  • Ability to effectively communicate with people at various levels in the organization ranging from frontline associates to senior leaders
  • Eagerness to learn about the industry and the business processes that impact safety
  • Computer skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred OR equivalent work experience and professional training
  • Associate Safety Professional Certification (ASP) preferred, OR willing to obtain within 2 years in the position.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
