Job Summary: Responsible for the successful implementation of Risk Management programs on the property, limiting the Company’s liability to a minimum, while providing adequate training and safety programs for the protection of visitors, and Associates. Provide support to managers and safety teams to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as all safety laws and regulations. Develop, implement and maintain the company Safety systems. Performs limited assignments of specific tasks focused on monitoring compliance, and results and promoting a behavior-based safety culture.

Essential Job Functions *
1. Maintaining constant communication with all injured/involved parties throughout the life of the claim regarding their status
2. Ensuring weekly communication with claim adjusters and employees to ensure timely closure of claims, as well as accurate diagnosis and care plans
3. Aligns with HR, employee and line management on all return-to-work cases. Objective is to avoid lost time and reduce restricted time to get people whole again and back to work.
4. Act as a liaison to company management and Third-Party Administrators to ensure appropriate claim information is received; and coordinate all investigations handled by the third party claims administrator.(Worker’s Compensation,
property, auto insurance)
5. Coordinate the implementation of all company-wide risk management sponsored programs.
6. Represent the company to external organizations, peers and employees when necessary; and testify in court when necessary.
7. Assembles data across US & Canada to assure accurate, timely weekly reporting of safety incidents for internal and government reports.
8. Analyze loss data to determine what areas need special attention and inform management of the results to include appropriate recommendations.
9. Maintains Incident Reporting, lost time and OSHA logs/files.
10. Assures analysis of incidents is timely and relevant.

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university, master’s degree and professional certifications/licensure preferred (CSP, CIH, CFPS, or CHMM or Professional Engineer).
  • Minimum Eight years of relevant experience.

  • Understanding of OSHA and state safety regulations.
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to coordinate multiple projects and programs.
  • Ability to effectively perform project work involving internal and external teams.
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Windows.
