The main goal of the Nurse Recruiter is to coordinate the recruitment and hiring of nursing department personnel for the hospital.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. Current West Virginia Licensure as a Registered Nurse.
2. BSN required
EXPERIENCE:
1. Five (5) years of current RN experience in acute care.

1. Receives and screens employment applications, conducts interviews, verifies licensure/certification, conducts applicant testing, and performs reference and background checks.
2. Provides current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, benefits, and opportunities for advancement.
3. Completes clerical aspects of employment including new hire paperwork, coordination of start dates, and notification of pertinent individuals and departments.
4. Conducts formal follow-up/meeting with all new nursing department employees 45 days and 6 months post hire regarding their orientation and experiences to date.
5. Works directly with Nursing Managers and Directors to identify and prioritize staffing needs.
6. Maintains updated position controls for each Nursing Department Cost Center in order to identify recruitment needs.
7. Reviews position descriptions to ensure accuracy.
8. Prepares weekly internal job postings; assists with development and placement of recruitment advertisements.
9. Acts as role model within the hospital, and when representing the hospital at external functions; maintains positive attitude.
10. Creates reports as needed.
11. Participates in self-evaluation and develops a plan for professional development based on personal/unit goals/strategic plans.
12. Attends recruitment/job fairs locally and regionally; visits local schools/other organizations to do presentations related to healthcare careers.
13. Assists in identifying problems for investigation, collecting data for research projects and applying current concepts to patient care.
14. Completes clerical aspects of employment including new hire paperwork, coordination of start dates, and notification of pertinent individuals and departments.

4. Basic computer knowledge
5. Possess the ability to deal tactfully and harmoniously with guests.
6. Demonstrates knowledge of and follows correct chain of command in handling challenges and issues, including crisis situations.
7. Ability to organize and prioritize time and tasks to achieve a well-coordinated work effort and to effectively meet work schedules including an ability to integrate multiple factors which may have an impact on patient care, including variances in human resources.
