Job Description:
Seeking an individual contributor with strong experience in performing complex electronic testing and troubleshooting tasks using oscilloscopes, mega ohm meter, spectrum and network analyzers.
Must have hands-on experience in testing, troubleshooting and reworking of production electronic components, units and related products for RF, antenna and signal products.
Must be capable of logging information in technical databases and have a basic understanding of how to read drawings (blueprints). Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a cross-functional team.
Essential Functions:
- Experience with RF/Microwave Device testing and evaluation including s-parameter, large signal load pull characterization as well as modulated signal measurements
- Expert at network analyzer measurements (VSWR, isolation, insertion loss, power, gain)
- Experience reading and following ATP’s/operation sheets/qualification procedures.
- Must be able to basic operate testing apparatus that require the reading of different types of gauges.
- Must be able to function with minimal supervision in a fast past production environment.
- Design, analyze, modify, test, and evaluate antenna systems and subsystem level components.
Qualifications:
- High School / Secondary Education plus 4+ years of technician or troubleshooting experience or 2 years post-secondary/ AA-AS Degree plus 0-2 years of technician.
- Comprehend mechanical drawings and electrical wiring diagrams
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer skills i.e. MS Outlook, MS Work and MS Excel
- Ability to maintain detailed test logs
- Experience valuate antennas in anechoic chambers and use network analyzers
