We're currently looking for a member to join our retail Store Operations Support Team (OST). This team is a traveling team that supports our retail stores.
This member does not have to live in Janesville, WI, but must be able to have the ability to travel to Janesville, WI (Corporate) or to any of our store locations at any time and possess a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle. This team travels up to 90% of the time with company paid mileage, approved expenses and accommodations.
The OST is a cross functional support team. They provide support and training to existing and new stores in the areas of Human Resources, Front End, Signage, IC/Receiving/Warehouse, and more. Individuals must have the ability to shift between different operational areas as work demand dictates.
- Support stores in all store operations as needed.
- Support new store opening setup and associate training.
- Support technology and process implementations and initiatives that impact store operations in areas of identified responsibilities.
- Be a liaison between the store and Corporate support teams.
- Direct, align and support job duties within a store.
- Support stores in absence of store management.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and documentation as needed.
- Travel to high volume stores during peak sale seasons to assist management as needed.
- Support new stores in pre-open set up, hiring, training, grand opening, and post-open training.
- Demonstrate awareness and compliance with Loss Prevention and safety policies and/or procedures.
Associated Functions:
- Attend trainings and special events as appropriate.
- Attend and assist with store Grand Open and Reset events as needed
- Provide store support for Workforce Management System.
Three to five years prior retail experience required. Must possess a valid driver license and reliable vehicle.
- Experience in retail management preferred.
- Desire to become a Blain's Farm and Fleet Store Manager strongly desired.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn Blain internal software programs.
- Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills are requirements for this position.
- Ability to train, delegate and supervise others.
- Ability to read and speak English and communicate with customers and co-workers.
- High detail orientation, strong problem solving, experience in change management, and high accountability preferred.
- Ability to learn and perform all primary job functions within the adjustment period, ability to function as a team member and ability to work under specific instructions.
