THE COMPANY

Their mission is to make job mobility easier for all people, regardless of educational attainment. This company builds ML models to identify hidden/overlooked talent in the workforce. They are looking for a Research Scientist with relevant commercial experience to bring on to their team to work on some exciting projects!
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with the Chief Data Scientist and team members to develop new models as well as improve existing ones.
- Manage and run experiments with both public and private data sets
- Come up with research questions, build and train models to address those questions
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors required. Master's and Ph.D. preferred in Computer Science or relevant fields such as Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Applied Economics, or related field.
- Fluency in Python and SQL
- Expertise on the labor economy
- Expertise on ethical AI is a plus. Also, open to a person with a deep interest in this area.
- Good communication skills
- AWS experience is preferred
- Preferred experience includes Deep underlying mathematics understanding, version control tools, and production-grade python coding
