• Demonstrates the ability to independently plans, prepares and carries activities in support of the research program.
• The Research Coordinator demonstrates the ability to monitor and report on the progress of research programs and provide solutions for issues that may arise.
• Assist in research proposal development.
• The Research Coordinator assists in the development and implementation of evaluation instruments.
• Prepares manuscripts and presentations. Performs literature searches and maintains files of information pertinent to current program.
• The Research Coordinator provide research and administrative support for community and public health and health services research programs.
• Coordinates and performs program subject recruitment and enrollment.
• The Research Coordinator assist in research proposal development. Assists in the development and implementation of evaluation instruments.
• The Research Coordinator strengthen the Research Institute's capacity to better serve and improve efforts of healthcare. Develops presentations in support of the research program.
• Serves as main contact person for internal and external customers for the research program.
• The Research Coordinator maintains good working relationships with other departments to support the work.
• Evaluate material and supplies and chooses the most appropriate vendors considering quality and price.
• The Research Coordinator maintains evidence of professional development by continuing education, participation in department seminars and journal clubs, etc.
• Performs literature searches and maintains files of information pertinent to current program.

Education/Qualifications:

• Requires a bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline from an accredited college or university.
• In exceptional cases, a lesser degree and/or work experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Experience:

• At least three year of research experience with a bachelor's degree or a master’s degree

Licensure/Certificates:

• As required by the specific research program.

Skills:

• Requires dexterity, objectivity, honesty, curiosity, creativity, and observational skills.
• Requires knowledge of research principles.
• Ability to communicate and work effectively as a team member.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.

Physical Requirements:

• Requires the ability to drive a motor vehicle, stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time.
• Works primarily in an office environment.
• Travel to regional sites or community settings.
