Research Analyst
Job description
The Peterson Institute for International Economics, a leading think tank located at Dupont Circle, Washington, DC, seeks a part-time or full-time research analyst to work with Dr. Olivier Blanchard and Jean Pisani-Ferry on projects relating to macroeconomics.
Responsibilities include gathering information related to the above, collecting, cleaning, and analyzing economic data, including the estimation of econometric models, producing charts and graphs for publication and presentations, and taking notes at meetings and conferences.
Applicants should be a self-starter with attention to detail and have a solid understanding of macroeconomics. Proficiency in Excel and Stata is required, and knowledge of MATLAB is preferred. Should have the ability to work in English and French.
