Reporting Analyst and LIM Content Manager

Position Summary:
The Reporting Analyst & LIM Content Manager is responsible for creating and delivering regular and ad-hoc reporting and data analysis to both internal and external (Lottery) customers. This position will extract, scrub and review data, generate reports, and distribute regular executive dashboards. This position is also responsible for engaging with the IA Lottery for planning, content development and schedule management of on-screen (flash, html 5) content displayed on Iowa’s Lottery InMotion (LIM) screens and PlayCentral self-service terminals.
Job Functions:
- Acquire data from SG’s primary databases or third-party, secondary data sources and maintain databases systems.
- Filter, clean, and review data primarily from SQL Server or other internal and external sources.
- Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
- Work closely with management to prioritize deliveries that meet business and information needs.
- Collaborate with Lottery personnel on sales reporting, promotion analysis, and ongoing project(s) as designated.
- Monitor and analyze game sales and trends examining for area of poor game performance.
- Provide prompt, professional communication with Lottery staff who are responsible determining content and display priorities for display content appearing on LIM screens.
- Engage as needed with SG staffs for the creation of new LIM screen content.
- Work in close coordination with IA site Operations Management to load new content on UAT and Production Systems
- Establish and periodically update the play-lists on UAT and Production Systems that govern the display of LIM content slides.
- Periodically assist with testing new System content of all types
- Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, Statistics, Mathematics or related research-based field, or 4(?) years’ relevant experience working in a related field.
- Experience and knowledge of Microsoft SQL and Tableau
- Experience with one or more statistical languages and software (SAS, R, SPSS, Stata, Matlab, Python, Alteryx, Microstrategy)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
Skills/Abilities:
- Detail oriented and ability to self-manage a work schedule.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and orally, with all levels of management
- Ability to learn new statistical languages and software, as needed.
- Strong ability to communicate data findings in layman’s terms.
- Ability to multitask and meet critical deadlines
- Ability to have creative and critical thinking.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education
Bachelors degree in related field.
