Rehab Therapy Tech

As the Rehab Therapy Technician at Bishop Gadsden, James Island, SC, you will work alongside our therapists in helping further the patient rehabilitation process by supporting our team through administrative and treatment support. The successful candidate with have effective communication skills, excellent organizational and time management skills and the ability to problem solve in a fast-paced care environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in carrying out treatment under direct supervision of Registered Therapist or Therapist Assistant, upon completion of competency skills
• Complete copying and filing for Rehab Department
• Maintain therapy Department Schedule
• Communicating with medical professionals in the community
• Maintain organization of Rehab. Dept
• Clean equipment in Rehab Department according to need
• Identify needs for department supplies and notify Clinical Manager
• Adhere to all facility and company policies
• Carry out all job responsibilities in a professional manner at all times
• Demonstrate appropriate interpersonal skills
• Assist the CM in management responsibilities as directed

Qualifications

• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram or scheduled instructions
• Interpersonal skills are necessary for exchanging information as well as maintaining a courteous relationship with the residents, families, visitors and Bishop Gadsden
• Ability to effectively present information and document daily events and needs
• Ability to respond to common inquiries from patients, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
• Ability to read, write, speak and communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and written in English
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common reports
• Ability to stand, stoop, bend, reach, and lift (up to 50 pounds /-)

Required Education and Experience

• Proficient with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and work with Rehab specific software
• Active CPR certification or willing to obtain within 3 months of placement
• Associates Degree in related healthcare field preferred or high school diploma with experience considered
• 2 years’ experience in healthcare or administrative related field preferred
