We are currently seeking a Registrar. In this role you will be responsible for the development, planning, management, implementation and evaluation of student related documents, procedures, and functions of the Office of the Registrar.

This role is responsible for managing the ongoing operations of the Registrar team on all campuses, ensuring accordance with AGMU policies, federal and state laws, accrediting agencies, and FERPA guidelines. AGM University serves a diverse student population, offering bilingual education to the community for traditional and non-traditional students.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Oversee the process of programming courses and the distribution of classrooms of the AGMU campuses in accordance with the established academic rules and procedures.
  • Participate and provide support during audits.
  • Design the academic calendar with the Associate Registrars and ensure it is distributed to the university community.
  • Prepare the Work Plan for the Office of the Registrar and submit the budget request.
  • Supervise the academic year assembly in the mechanized system's validation tables.
  • Responsible for the processes that are carried out with the Veterans agencies, Student Exchange, and Visitors Programs (SEVP) and the Department of Defense (DOD).
  • Ensure that the documentation needed to complete the R2TIV process is provided to financial aid in a timely fashion.
  • Responsible for the process of certifications regarding student enrollment status required by federal and state agencies; both for personal management of the student record and for compliance with the judicial authorities.
  • Collaborate in the process of training faculty and employee’s university-wide on the rules and procedures of the Office of the Registrar.
  • Collaborate with the Deans of Fiscal Effectiveness and the Associate Registrars to evaluate the creation or elimination of sections considering the number of students, the unique offerings, the candidates for graduation and the established fiscal policy.
  • Supervise and certify the academic degrees conferred by the university authorities, as well as other documents accrediting the academic work of students.
  • Supervise the processes of the digitization of files, including the quality control process.
  • Responsible for the execution of the Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) process and ensures SAP policy compliance with Title IV requirements.
  • Responsible for the ongoing maintenance and operation of the Curriculum, Advising and Program, Planning (CAPP) and catalog modules in the Banner system.
  • Prepare managerial and statistical reports, as requested.
  • Comply with the provisions of the Mechanized Assistance Registration Policy and the Performance Evaluation System of AGMU.
  • Develop and implement a training plan for employees assigned to the Office of the Registrar, ensuring alignment with the Training and Development Plan of the university.
  • Ensure confidentiality in processes, transactions, and document handling.
  • Perform other duties as required.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or related field from an accredited institution required.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in a similar role.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (fluent) with the ability to communicate complex information simply, both verbally and written required
  • Strong knowledge of records, registration, enrollment management, financial aid, academic advising, and compliance.
