General Summary of Duties: This position is responsible for performing overnight polysomnography in adherence with AASM guidelines.

Essential Functions:

• Delivers appropriate and safe patient care
• Follows sleep center protocols
• Reviews patent records and orders
• Prepares for and conducts overnight sleep studies
• Provide patient education on procedure and OSA
• Apply electrodes using the 10-20 system
• Perform PAP fitting and desensitization
• Perform Diagnostic, CPAP, BIPAP, and Split Night Studies

Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a sleep technician.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• BLS Certification
• CPSGT or RPSGT preferred

Knowledge/Skills:

• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR)
• Proficiency with Compumedics or similar sleep software
• Knowledgeable of current AASM adult scoring rules
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• This position requires occasional or frequent lifting
