We are looking to add qualified and enthusiastic employees to join our Hamilton Center team. Hamilton Center Inpatient Unit is a 16 bed inpatient unit that provides acute psychiatric needs for patients who need immediate treatment. Hamilton Center has been providing care for the Wabash Valley over 50 years!

Position Summary for LPN/RN:

Hamilton Center Inpatient Nursing provides and directs care of mental and physical needs within the Inpatient Unit, but must have flexibility to aid in other areas of Hamilton Center such as working with the Vigo County Outpatient Nursing team. Nursing staff must work well as an interdisciplinary treatment team, providing direct patient care.

General Duties/Responsibilities:

Demonstrates the ability to assess and monitor the nursing process including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.

Conduct admission assessments and reassessments per the Hamilton Center policy, procedures, and standards of care.

Follow admission and discharge procedures.

Function as a valuable resource as part of the interdisciplinary treatment team.

Requirements for the position include:

Licensed by the state of Indiana (or have a compact license allowing practice in the state of Indiana) as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Knowledge and skills for Nursing in the following areas:

· Direct hands-on nursing care with minimal supervision

· Psychiatric illnesses

· Development/management of interpersonal relationships

· Physical/Mental assessments

· Basic pharmacology

· Administration of medications per Hamilton Center policy and procedures

· Obtaining/transcribing medication orders from prescribers

· Collaborate for treatment planning and implementation

· Operation of routine medical equipment

· Provide Crisis intervention

· Provide emergency care

Pay: $32-34 per hour with shift differential available!

RN or LPN

Work Location: Primarily Inpatient, but flexibility to assist with outpatient services should the demand arise.
