Job Title: RN Utilization Management (UM)

Location: Burlington, VT

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: 7:00 Am -7:30 PM

NOTE: Tuesday starts dates every other Weekend at least required, every weekend preferred

Summary

The RN UM is responsible for reviewing, coordinating, and ensuring the appropriateness of healthcare services and treatments for patients based on established medical criteria and standards. This position involves working collaboratively with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients to facilitate the delivery of high-quality healthcare services.

Responsibilities:

· Conducts utilization management activities in accordance with established medical criteria and guidelines

· Reviews patient medical records to determine the appropriateness and necessity of requested healthcare services and treatments

· Collaborates with healthcare providers to ensure that patients receive the most appropriate level of care

· Coordinates patient care with insurance companies, hospitals, and other healthcare providers as needed

· Educates patients and their families on the utilization management process and available healthcare resources

· Maintains accurate and timely documentation of utilization management activities and outcomes

· Assists with the development and implementation of utilization management policies and procedures

· Participates in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the utilization management program

· Stays current with healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures related to utilization management

Reguirements

· Current RN license in the state of practice

· Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field

· BLS from AHA

· Covid Vaccination certificate

· Minimum of 2 years of experience in utilization management or related healthcare field

· Knowledge of medical criteria and guidelines for appropriate patient care

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
