Registered Nurse Responsibilities
The Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Registered Nurse leads the MAT clinic in collaboration with the medical director, recovery services team, and the MAT prescribers in treating patients with addiction with medications such as Buprenorphine (Suboxone), Naltrexone, etc. In addition to leadership with the MAT clinic, this nurse will also support the medication management clinic through general cross-coverage and/or select nursing support of one or more designated providers in the clinic on an ongoing basis.
Qualifications for Registered Nurse
EDUCATION AND LICENSURE:
Required:
- Registered nurse with active Kansas license in good standing.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- Minimum of one year of experience in working with diverse populations in delivery of medical care
- Comfort in performing clinical nursing visits, triaging, and responding to urgent and/or emergent clinical situations, obtaining blood work, monitoring vitals, giving medication injections, and obtaining urine samples.
- Covid 19 vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption
Preferred:
- Experience in collaborating with individuals with psychiatric conditions.
- Experience in recovery services including Medication Assisted Treatment.
