Registered Nurse (7:00AM-3:30PM)
Job description
1. Monitors and charts resident’s vital signs, symptoms and other information to ensure the health and well-being for the resident;
2. Performs various diagnostic tests, administers medications in a safe and timely manner, implements other treatments and ensures compliance with prescribed therapies;
3. Records resident histories and assists in developing comprehensive care plans;
keeps physician and families aware of changes in resident’s condition; assesses and coordinates resident’s discharge planning needs with members of healthcare team;
4. Protects residents and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, medication;
5. May supervise the work of licensed practical nurses (LPN), geriatric nursing assistants (GNA);
6. Remains current with new developments in the field and complete continuing education courses on a regular basis to maintain nursing license;
7. Provides emotional support to residents and resident families and listen to concerns and feedback
8. Adheres to state and federal mandated standards and procedures.
Experience
Required- Familiarity with an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system
- 1 year(s): Experience in a long-term care setting.
- 2 year(s): Medical surgical/acute care experience
Education
Required- Associates or better
- Bachelors or better
Licenses & Certifications
Required- Registered Nurse
