Position Title: Registered Dietitian

General Summary: Design and carefully monitor nutrition program for Pritikin Intensive Cardiac Rehabilitation patients. Moderate nutritional video content. Friendly, motivating, and serves as a positive role model for the Pritikin Program

Qualifications:

Formal Education: Registered Dietitian licensed as required by the state in which practicing

Required Knowledge: Up-to-date knowledge of current nutrition trends, food products, and fads; Knowledge of Pritikin program helpful, but not required, training will be provided

Required skills or abilities: Coaching, problem-solving, and motivational interviewing techniques. Motivational skills to encourage and inspire preparation of foods prepared.

Experience: Previous experience with cardiac rehab patients preferred, but will train. Developed presentation skills

Essential responsibilities:

1.Advise patients on Pritikin nutritional principles and how to effectively implement these principles into their personal lifestyle

2. Assess and implement necessary dietary modifications based on the patient’s current and/or past health history.

3. Conduct Nutrition workshops and facilitate hands on learning

4. Conduct Cooking School Workshops, serving as “chef” for the program.

5.Consult with physicians and healthcare personnel to coordinate a patient’s care plan.

6.Assist with best practice implementation

Pay: It depends on the experience.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour
