Silverado Hospice South Houston is looking for a Registered Dietitian! The Dietitian will cover both North Houston and South Houston area. Flat rate for visits is $100/visit and hourly rate applies for any additional meetings or trainings, including IDG Meetings.

Position Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 an hour

The non-negotiables:

• Registered Dietitian, current and valid license in operating state
• At least six months of experience working in hospice or home health.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, reliable transportation, and willingness to drive to patient’s location.

What you will be doing:

• Performs comprehensive nutrition assessments as requested including review of patients who are receiving enteral feedings.
• Contributes to plan of care, makes recommendations and provides appropriate follow- up and documentation to all patients referred.
• Provides education for hospice nursing staff including Home Health Aides and LVN/LPN regarding oral and enteral feeding techniques and safe food preparation.
• Maintains knowledge of state and federal regulations and JCAHO standards and participates in QAPI programs as requested.
