We have around 4,500 employees in Human Resources, Finance and Procurement who work for GS in key service centers located in Manila, Suzhou, Prague, Bogota and Tampa, as well as in local country-based hubs.

The Regional Site Operations Manager in Tampa is responsible for bringing forward the strategy for Global Site Operations in the different sites/locations leading hub and non-based hub employees in the Tampa hub and local North America to enable a consistent and positive employee experience. The Manager is tasked to liaise with local facility management, employee health services, global health services to enable programs and activities in Tampa working towards GS being a great place to work. Additionally, the leader will partner with Americas Sr. Manager to execute Business Continuity Plans as per Global framework and ensures that local strategy is developed and tested to assure employee safety and critical business continues, entire service is recovered in the period of calamity.

The leader is highly accountable to site budgets, spend and will provide overall leadership to the Tampa GS site. The role will manage a Tampa based Team who is responsible for the engagement and communication of people relative activities.

The position will report into the Americas Site Operations Sr Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the GS Locations / Sites in North America are a great place to work.
  • Deployment and Testing of Business Continuity Plans in the Region.
  • Management of Site Budgets and Spend as it relates to Site Operations
  • Stakeholder and Business Engagement: GS and Enterprise Support: EFM, EHS, GHS, Technology, BUHR, Change and Communications
  • Helps manage the Tampa location ensuring that it is a great place to work.
  • Translates the Strategic Site Operations plan into an actionable plan Tampa.
  • Serve as a liaison to IT, Facilities Management, Environmental Health and Safety, and Global Health Services in North America.
  • Manages and tests the Business Continuity Plans in Tampa.
  • Improve efficiency of Tampa GS hub in partnership with Regional Real Estate, ESP, GS Portfolio and PMO (shift utilization, seat utilization, optimization of space through densification, capacity and ramp profile).
  • Increase effectiveness of Tampa Hub and build world class experience for customers.
  • People Engagement execution in partnership with Regional WE POP and Change and Communications.
  • Fosters collaboration of teams within Tampa GS locations across GS Organization, encourages teamwork and sharing of best practices to drive consistency.
  • Embraces and leads a culture of inclusiveness and multi-cultural engagement through coaching and feedback to peers and the boarder community in GS in alignment with the J and J Leadership Imperatives.
  • Provide leadership, direction, coaching and feedback and where appropriate, discipline to and through subordinate team members.
  • Helps establish and manages a performance-management oriented culture in partnership with Regional SPR ensuring teams understand SLAs and metrics.
  • Enables a global culture of continuous improvement in conjunction with Change and Communications and We Belong.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Human Resources, Engineering, IT, Supply Chain or comparable by experience.
  • 5 + years of progressive shared services or facilities management experience
  • 5+ years experience managing direct reports
  • Exceptional influence leadership skills, in an indirect, matrix-based, and virtual environment
  • Strong leadership skills; understands the cultures and needs of North Asia
  • Passionate about building a “Best in Class” shared services organization that drives business success and is a great place to work
  • Strong capability in assessing, developing and hiring talent
  • Ability to establish a culture focused on continuous improvement while building employee-centric repeatable and sustainable processes
