Roles & Responsibilities

1. Physical Server Installs

a. Transport Servers to and between remote locations

b. Install into Rack

c. Ensure standard processes are tracked and followed

2. Server Coordination Work

a. Use company supplied installation procedures

b. Coordinated work with support personnel

c. SW installs

d. Upgrades to SW and firmware

3. Server Maintenance

a. HW maintenance, including basic services (hard drive replacements)

b. Basic troubleshooting

c. On-call for support

4. CMDB Maintenance related to servers (in ServiceNow)

a. Onboard configuration settings as needed within CMDB

b. Ability to use CMDB to verify server configuration and relationship to other systems

5. Retirement of Servers

a. Lifecycle replacement of HW

b. Sun-setting of devices requiring no replacement

6. SN Ticket Resolution

a. Manage Change Tickets

b. Task completion-components of Projects

c. Incident ticket resolution (SLA driven)

7. SWAT Expectations

a. Expected to join SWATs to assist with impacted infrastructure for the supported area as well as abide by AEP’s IT SWAT policies and procedures.

b. Must remain on SWAT until service restored or until the problem is resolved.

c. Participation in associated Problem Reviews

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
