SUMMARY:

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Sales, the Regional Sales Manager will lead a team of account managers located in various geographic areas of the U.S., managing overall sales activities for the compression services fleet. Distribution of time for this position is expected to be up to 50% travel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Develops sales strategy aligned with corporate objectives and in consideration of oil and natural gas market dynamics, customer needs and forecasts, and compression fleet availability and component lead times.
  • Sets goals and performance measures for the team and individual account managers
  • Implements and manages processes and communicates best practices
  • Coordinates the team’s schedule, prioritizes tasks, and directs activities to ensure objectives are met on time.
  • Directs hiring, training, and employee development
  • Conducts performance evaluations and facilitates performance improvement
  • Coaches account managers in negotiation skills, overcoming objections, and facilitating long term value
  • Makes customer calls with account managers on a routine basis
  • Gathers market intelligence
  • Directs the sales team in the timely review of and response to customer RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs
  • Develops customer presentations and marketing material
  • Leads negotiations in implementing Master Compression Service Agreements with new customers
  • Oversees the management of strategic customer relationships and ensures proper sales and operations support
  • Facilitates collaboration and alignment of cross functional teams
  • Ensures account managers are facilitating timely payment of accounts receivables
  • Facilitates participation in industry events and trade shows
  • Facilitates customer appreciation events
  • Other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Regional Sales Manager will have a team of Account Managers in the various oil and gas producing basins in the U.S. The Regional Sales Manager will spend time with each account manager within his/her assigned team on a routine basis.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education and/or Experience:

  • 5+ years of natural gas compression or oil and gas industry sales experience and 3+ years of management experience required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or relevant field of study or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License and have reliable transportation
  • Must have a professional appearance, good people skills, and good customer communications skills

  • Strong sales knowledge and network within the industry
  • Knowledge of CSI Compressco’s products and services
  • Thorough understanding of the natural gas compression market
  • Technical understanding of Caterpillar, Waukesha, and Cummins engines, and Ariel, Frick, AJAX, and GasJack compressors
  • Understanding of Amine Treating and Gas Cooling
  • Understanding of oil and gas production, facilities, artificial lift, gas gathering and processing, and environmental permitting requirements
  • Demonstrate interpersonal, leadership, coaching, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrate strategic thinking, organizational, problem solving, and time management skills
  • Demonstrate analytical abilities
  • Must be reliable, dependable, with attention to detail, and able to work overtime as required.
  • Must possess excellent telephone, written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Must have an aptitude for communicating with customers.
  • Must be resourceful and have a desire for continual improvement
  • Must be process oriented, able to prioritize, organize, and work on multiple projects simultaneously while meeting established deadlines.
  • Must have experience negotiating Master Service Agreements
  • Must have a general working knowledge of corporate financial statements
  • Must have a thorough understanding of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Outlook, and proven ability to quickly learn, utilize, and comprehend other software.
  • Must be able to learn and become proficient in SalesForce and within Microsoft D365

  • Up to 50% of the time
