City Experiences is seeking a Regional Sales Account Manager for our operations.

A fantastic opportunity to join our growing trade sales team at the world’s largest independent shore excursion provider, Venture Ashore.

The Regional Account Manager is responsible for building awareness, interest and sales for our global shore excursions product through prospecting, training, relationship building and sales activities with travel agent partners and their consumers within their assigned sales territory.

Venture Ashore is the largest provider of independent commissionable cruise excursions in the world, delivering carefully curated amazing experiences for cruise travelers led by professional guides in hundreds of ports worldwide. Venture Ashore cruising excursions are currently offered across 111 countries with departures from over 500 ports of call worldwide including over 5,000 individual tours.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the main point of contact Venture Ashore sales opportunities within the assigned sales territory
  • Develop and execute annual and quarterly territory sales and marketing plans that maximizes presence within the branch offices of the national “A” accounts, territory based “A” accounts as well as select “B” and “C” accounts
  • Foster strong business relationships with the key members of the territories “A” and select “B” accounts to generate increased sales volume through new accounts
  • Execute in person and webinar based training sessions with travel agency accounts to increase product awareness, interest and conversion for our products
  • Ensure travel agent partners are equipped with the right tools and knowledge needed to quote and close sales for our products
  • Provide internal partners a thorough understanding of the competitive landscape to clearly differentiate our products
  • Provide rapid response to agents in a timely fashion for questions and follow up needs
  • Use the company’s CRM To manage territory activities as well as record and report sales progress with the agencies
  • Identify and participate in meaningful trade and consumer travel shows and programs as needed
  • Work with Sales leadership on special projects that will help our business
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Review existing contracts and identify opportunities for growth and incentive
  • Identify opportunities to increase sales conversion between travel agents and clients

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • MUST HAVE experience in Travel/Tour/Cruise Industry
  • Experience dealing with travel agents directly, attending trade shows and delivering training, etc.
  • Experience as a regional account manager or business development manager for a travel brand and looked after travel advisors/consortia relationships within last 5 years, ideally.
  • Proven networking skills, prospecting and lead generation
  • Strong communication and negotiating skills
  • Time management and strategic planning skills
  • Results driven team player
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
