Position Summary:

The Regional Reliability Engineer will be responsible for assisting their regional plants in attaining and sustaining target levels of proactive maintenance. This position is responsible to the corporate reliability manager and oversees reliability performance at the facilities within their region. They will provide leadership and direction in predictive technologies and data analysis. This position supports: PM optimization, root cause failure analysis, accurate and consistent downtime reporting, coordinating predictive training, monitoring, and promoting improvement of reliability metrics, remote predictive maintenance testing data analysis and implementation support for new equipment projects.


Essential Functions:

  • Works closely with multiple plants within their region to assess and support BPS Asset Care pillar elements
  • Conduct routine communications with plants within their region
  • Identify reactive work practices and use change management skills to achieve proactive work environments across their plants
  • Works closely with multiple plants within their region to help insure corporate predictive and preventative work standards are used and maintained on an ongoing basis
  • Works with BNA contracted predictive services companies to ensure adequate support is being given to plants and that service meets our global minimum standards
  • Analyzes predictive and preventive test data, determines and writes corrective work as needed
  • Reviews predictive maintenance activities, recommends changes to the type of monitoring, routes, frequency and equipment monitored
  • Develops equipment specific vibration analysis template details for complex machinery such as gearboxes and centrifuges
  • Educates other employees about reliability concepts and predictive tool use
  • Monitors PM & PdM compliance and coverage metrics and targets attention at the lower performing facilities
  • Monitors and performs trending and analysis of all PdM (Predictive Maintenance), PM (Preventive Maintenance) and CBM (Condition Based Maintenance) data
  • Conducts RCFA (Root Cause Failure Analysis)
  • Conducts Pareto analyses and adjusts reliability strategy accordingly to address failure modes
  • Reviews corrective work from testing and inspection and adjusts reliability strategy accordingly
  • Reviews and improves value of PM inspection requirements
  • Reviews maintenance cost by asset and recommends changes to improve asset reliability and reduce costs


Skill/Experience Requirements:

Competencies/Skills:

  • Must possess a demonstrated high degree of change management skills in dealing with both plant staff and maintenance personnel
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in transforming to a proactive culture
  • Good oral/written communication skills
  • Excellent administrative and analytical skills
  • SAP Plant Maintenance Module literate

Knowledge:

  • Working knowledge of enPak vibration data collectors, eMonitor software, UE Systems UT9000 ultrasonic tool, Dreager UCF9000 IR camera and All Test Pro motor circuit analyzer
  • Working knowledge of predictive maintenance strategy development and optimization
  • Ability to lead Root Cause Failure Analysis reviews

Education:

  • Minimum of Level 2 Vibration Analysis certification
  • Minimum of Level 1 Ultrasonic certification
  • Minimum of Level 2 Infrared certification
  • Minimum of Level 2 Oil Lubrication Analyst certification

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in maintenance positions
  • Minimum of 2 years predictive maintenance management experience

Must obtain CMRP certification within 18 months of hire date.

Travel Requirement 50%
