Job description
- Under supervision of the regional director,
- The incumbent serves as the regional operations coordinator and assumes the responsibilities of Institutional wardens in region 3 in their absence.
- Assists the regional director and region 3 wardens in the planning, direction, and coordination of all security activities, and operations of their respective institutions.
- Performs duties governed by broad instruction In accordance with established policies and procedures.
- The incumbent must interpret laws, policies, and operating procedures of all employee and inmates and inform public officials and other interested persons about the operations of the institutions.
- Ensures policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Reviews correctional efficiency and practice of operations and personnel of designated facilities.
- Ensures and assists in the conducting of institutional inspections as outlined in policy.
- Coordinate movement of inmates as required.
- POSITION WILL REQUIRE STATEWIDE TRAVEL.

A bachelor's degree and supervisory experience in a correctional environment. Relevant experience may be substituted for bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.
SCDC Minimum Requirements: (Or an acceptable equivalency as approved by the division of state Human resources).
- A bachelor's degree and four(4) years of responsible administrative/management experience in a correctional environment to include two (2) years correctional supervisory experience;
- An associates degree and six (6) years of responsible administrative/ Management experience in a correctional environment to include two (2) years of correctional supervisory experience;
- A high school diploma and eight (8) years responsible administrative/management experience in a correctional environment to include two (2) years of correctional supervisory experience.
