Job Description
The Recruitment and Enrollment College Coordinator provides outreach and enrollment services for prospective college students and students from selected backgrounds, such as low-income, first-generation, and multicultural students, to support them as they engage, apply, register, and transition to the TMCC Community. The Coordinator supports the college access and success of diverse student populations across the institution and the surrounding community. The Coordinator implements a robust outreach schedule at community events, businesses, nonprofit organizations, and high schools to increase new student enrollment. Participation in evening and weekend events are expected for this position. The Coordinator provides hands-on application and registration assistance to new students in various settings. The Coordinator conducts new student registration workshops, presentations, application workshops, college fairs, information events, field trips, and other tasks to promote TMCC and increase the enrollment of new students. In addition to recruiting prospective student populations. The Coordinator works as a team to oversee one of the following programs: New Student Orientation, Adult and Non-traditional recruitment, and Men of Color Mentorship Program. The position requires an individual who is organized, flexible, collaborative, and accessible to students, community partners, and the campus community. Multiple positions are available.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college/university or Associates degree and two additional years of experience (four years total)
2. Two years’ experience working in an educational or nonprofit setting with a diverse student population.

Major Responsibilities
1. Lead Coordinator for recruitment and retention of selected student populations such as program participants for New Student Orientation, Adult and Non-traditional recruitment or Men of Color Mentorship.
2. Serve as part of the team who oversees New Student Orientation for new TMCC students and help program participants register for their first semester classes.
3. Serve as liaison between TMCC and assigned high schools.
4. Coordinate planning, organization and implementation of recruitment events.
5. Serve as point-of-contact for new student recruitment inquiries.
6. Engage students, school counselors, faculty, parents, and other stakeholders through classroom visits and other events to provide information related to college success and opportunities at TMCC.
7. Participate in videos, social media, and photography campaigns to promote the college.
8. Maintain records for enrollment, tracking, and audit reporting purposes.
9. Maintain quality partnerships with community-based organizations and Washoe County School District staff.
10. Collaborate with other departments at the college to ensure a smooth transition for new students.
11. Offer recruitment presentations for groups on campus and in the community.
12. Explain the application process, admission, and registration requirements to prospective students and other interested parties.
13. Develop collaborative partnerships with faculty, campus departments, and external organizations in support of prospective students.
14. Offer energetic and engaging presentations for groups on campus and in the community to promote the college.

Salary and Benefits Information:
Salary: $49,076 - $61,345, Initial salary placement will be dependent on education level and years of experience.

Professional Grant-in-Aid: TMCC is proud to provide a reduced-rate tuition benefit to faculty and qualified dependents. Faculty can take up to six credits per semester at a reduced rate. Dependents of faculty have unlimited credits, but in order to be eligible children must be unmarried and under the age of 24 and must receive at least 50% of their financial support from the employee and/or employee’s spouse or domestic partner.
