Job Summary

The position is responsible for the sourcing of candidates and recruitment of both field level (drivers/technicians/operators/mechanics) and management team members for the Oilfield Services business units within Atlas Oil company. This includes posting jobs both internally and externally, networking with various groups (including trade programs and industry-specific outlets), and being the front-line resource for new candidates interested in learning more about coming to work for our company. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to establish effective partnerships across management, field services, and operations teams. They must also maintain a high sense of urgency, effectively coordinate process workflows, be able to handle competing priorities, and quickly adapt to change. This is a full-time position that will be located within our Houston, TX corporate office.

Required Education / Certificates

  • College Degree in Human Resources Management or relevant degree preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus.

Primary Responsibilities

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Lead, develop, facilitate, and implement all phases of the full life-cycle recruitment process.
  • Work with business unit leaders and hiring managers to gain clear understanding of staffing needs and planning for the hiring process.
  • Collaborate with business unit leader and hiring manager to draft detailed and accurate position job descriptions and hiring criteria.
  • Identify and implement efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
  • Manage all communication with candidates from the moment they apply through onboarding.
  • Conduct initial phone screening calls, then schedule video interviews and in-person meetings for qualified candidates.
  • Standardize and oversee preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
  • Check in with candidates at various stages of the hiring process.
  • Collaborate with the hiring manager during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
  • Prepare offer letters and coordinate pre-employment screenings, including background checks, MVR, and drug screens.
  • Provide all necessary documentation to Human Resources for new hire set up in payroll and benefits.

Sourcing

  • Develop effective sourcing strategies and continue to seek out new candidate sources to identify and attract quality candidates.
  • Actively source candidates through job boards, resume databases, industry networks, and through referrals.
  • Maintain job posting and advertisement processes.
  • Organize hiring events and participate in industry job fairs to network with potential candidates.

Reporting

  • Grow and maintain candidate database.
  • Gather, analyze, and present talent market data.
  • Set area hiring goals (e.g., quarterly, and annual).
  • Track recruitment KPIs (e.g., time to hire, source of hire, time to fill, and turnovers).
  • Provide weekly reporting of current field employees and active recruiting efforts.
  • Ensure data reporting integrity by utilizing all available technology and systems to track and report relevant data.

Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, along with company policies.
  • Oversee internal and external job board communication, making sure that our company maintains a positive reputation as an employer (for example on Glassdoor, LinkedIn, and social media).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills

  • Experience with high-volume oilfield services project-based recruiting, in both field level and management employees.
  • Experience with full cycle recruiting within a corporate or agency setting.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Fast paced and highly organized.
  • Strong interviewing skills using various interview techniques (including phone, video, in person, job fair).
  • Experience with social media recruiting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Travel up to 20% or as required to see what we do and interact with field level employees.
