Recruiter and Retention Specialist
Job description
Staff Recruiter:
o Designs, develops and implements strategic recruiting programs focused on diversity and inclusion.
o Researches hiring best practices and outreach methodologies to market MCCSB as an employer of choice.
o Collaborates closely with the Administrative Team to meet the staffing needs of MCCSB as determined by the Agency’s Strategic Plan and Equity Plan
o Creates comprehensive recruitment strategies including advertising plans, outreach, trainings and tracking in collaboration with Agency administration
o Creates and maintains a diverse pool of candidates through frequent contact and notifications of positions.
o Participates in recruitment events and represents MCCSB within the community
o Fosters strong candidate relationships in person, via telephone, email, social media, etc. Utilizes new technologies as appropriate.
Volunteer Services Program Manager:
o Recruit, screen and train all volunteers
o Coordinate student volunteers
o Evaluate volunteers
o Match volunteers with children/families
o Resolve conflict between volunteers and other departments
o Maintain required volunteer records, including budget and expenditures
o Reward volunteers for participation
o Develop goals
o Create and implement Volunteer Handbook
o Prepare monthly statistics and/or reports for volunteer services
o Review and approve volunteer mileage forms
One Church One Child Coordinator:
o Identify/Confirm churches to become involved in OCOC
o Work in conjunction with Agency case work staff to support adoptive and foster families through training, communication, access to supports and resources through the OCOC model
o Work in conjunction with Agency case work staff to mobilize congregations to provide for the identified needs of foster children and their birth families who may benefit from supports to increase positive outcomes for their children through the OCOC model
o Organize/Disseminate recruitment material
o Educate the community about the adoption process
Job Type: Full-time
