Job Description
The purpose of this position is to lead prospect development and recruitment efforts for the College through promoting academic programs and student success services. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to are to, conducting recruitment activities, including high school visits, hosting on- and off-campus information sessions, leading tours of the College, attending college and education fairs and visiting workforce centers, representing the College at job fairs, phone outreach, conducting position related research and hosting special events that lead to increased enrollment at the College. Requires night and weekend shifts throughout each month. All employees of Saint Paul College are responsible for promoting a culture that supports diversity and inclusion in all forms.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in business, sales, marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, advertising, education or related field.
- Demonstrated experience in sales, customer service, recruitment, advising or marketing communications related work.
- Strong organizational skills for coordinating events and special group functions.
- Strong writing and editing skills required, including the ability to write to different audiences and for different platforms.
- Strong project management skills required to coordinate multiple projects at one time and meet desired deadlines.
- Excellent oral, interpersonal communication and public speaking skills.
- Flexible schedule, as this position requires occasional evening and weekend shifts.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite Software.
- Physical demands (lifting, standing, sitting, pulling) 30# maximum.
- Ability to work with a diverse student body with a broad range of interests and abilities;
- Must have a valid driver’s license. This position requires local travel to high schools, college fairs and events on a daily and weekly basis.
- Demonstrated inter-cultural competence
- Past experience managing a caseload effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with a business, education, sales, marketing, communications, public relations, journalism or advertising, emphasis or relevant emphasis.
- Experience with international student recruitment.
- Bilingual
- One or more years of experience in college recruiting.
- Some experience with client data base systems.
- Some experience working with content management systems.
- Ability to work independently.
