FACILITIES MONITOR

PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT

THRIVE 55+ AND RECREATION DIVISIONS

PART TIME, UP TO 19 HOURS/WK


STARTING RATE (THROUGH 5/31/23): $15.00 PER HOUR


POSITION RANGE (THROUGH 5/31/23): $15.00 - $15.50 PER HOUR

STARTING RATE (THROUGH 6/1/23): $16.00 PER HOUR

POSITION RANGE (THROUGH 6/1/23): $16.00 - $16.50 PER HOUR


POSITION OVERVIEW & REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

The Facilities Monitor monitors public activity in and around Town buildings to include, but not limited to: monitoring for activity that could lead to injury or damage; adherence and promotion of department policies and procedures; assisting with event set-up/breakdown and program registrations; opening and closing the facility.

Work experience with people of all age groups in a responsible capacity required, including positive customer service skills and problem-solving capability. Must have computer program experience. Cash handling experience is a plus. Mechanical aptitude and some security experience preferred. This position includes custodial responsibilities. Physical demands of the job include ability to lift up to twenty (20) pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds.

The individual hired for this position may have hours at both the Groton Community Center and Thrive 55+ Active Living Center. Must possess and maintain a valid Motor Vehicle Operator's license.
