Our Supply Chain Services department manages various medical supplies, fills customers supply phone requests, code cart replenishments, incoming deliveries, tanks, and supports other Supply Chain functions. As the Receiver, you will help check in and put away our deliveries, catch up any previous day’s deliveries or work, handle Return Material Authorizations or PO’s invoiced but not received, verify and stage all deliveries throughout facility, handle temperature sensitive items (no hazardous materials). Thisis an excellent opportunity for growth. Our ideal candidate you will have warehouse/inventory experience, medical terminology and a customer service background.

This position performs all functions related to the receiving, shipping, and distribution of materials and supplies for the hospital central supply department.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Receives incoming orders and verifies orders are accurate and intact, including special orders. Documents and communicates damage, shipping errors, and/or other discrepancies. Inputs supplies received and prints receiving ticket(s). Applies property tags when applicable and notifies appropriate party for items requiring electrical safety inspection.
2. Audits incoming orders for accuracy, proper storage, temperature, and/or damage; resolves discrepancies in orders; marks items for distribution; and prepares various receiving and shipping documents.
3. Distributes orders to appropriate departments on a timely basis.
4. Prepares outgoing material for shipping, including all returns and repairs. Assures that packages are properly labeled and that a purchase order, return goods authorization, and/or materials disposition accompanies each package.
5. Enters returns and substitution receipts information into the materials management information system.
6. Works independently under regular supervision. Follows defined procedures. Makes decisions and solves problems to meet internal customer supply needs and resolve vendor problems.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge. Requires reading, writing and mathematical skills.
May be required to possess a valid driver’s license and be eligible for coverage under the company’s auto insurance policy.
A broad understanding of medical supplies and materials items and handling requirements as normally acquired through two or more years of related work with shipping & receiving and medical supplies.
Must have effective organizational skills to accurately maintain records and coordinate various inventory control functions, the mathematical skills to calculate quantities and pricing, and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Accurate keyboarding ability and a working knowledge of the Materials Management Information System is required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of medical supplies and equipment is preferred.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
