PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
The Raw Fruit Analyst is responsible for inspecting, analyzing, grading raw fruit according to Tree Top’s grading standards, policies, and quality. Position is responsible for ensuring proper documentation of paperwork, data entry, ticket invoicing, and distribution of orders. The Raw Fruit Analyst communicates, collaborates with others regarding fruit condition, grades of fruit, and arranges location of fruit placement coordination.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
This position reports to the Wenatchee Warehouse/Logistics Manager and provides guidance to forklift drivers and yard receivers. The position works closely with the Fruit Coordinator, Sort facility, dispatchers, Fruit Procurement, Grower Services, Quality, Planning and Operations.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR ENTRY:
KNOWLEDGE OF:
- Working knowledge of fruit varieties.
- Knowledge of lab procedures and analytical testing.
- Basic math and accounting practices
- Knowledge of record keeping and filling
- Working knowledge of HACCP, General Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s), Food Defense, and Allergens.
- Pertinent Federal, State, and local laws, codes, and regulations.
- Knowledge of principles or practices of effective business communication; basic report writing methods and techniques including but not limited to English language proficiency in spelling, grammar and punctuation.
ABILITY TO:
- Perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Distinguish varieties of fruit.
- Prepare clear, concise, and accurate correspondence, documents, reports and other written materials.
- Read and interpret instructions, specifications, limits, and Tree Top’s grading standards and policies.
- Identify, research, and analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, and project consequences of proposed actions.
- Effectively organize, plan, and execute.
- Use computers and computer software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Meet behaviors established in Tree Top’s performance management and development process.
EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION/LICENSES, AND TRAINING:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an agricultural industry.
- Knowledge of fruit variety is preferred.
